Internet There was an internet point around the corner from the hotel - 1 euro for 1 hour - now that's cheap! There is also a laundromat down the road.

beautiful and underlooked church On via Tornabuoni, opposite the Ferragammo store, you'll find the church of Santa Felicita'. Go in the morning before 12 or the afternoon after 4. You can just walk right in there and find some of the most beautiful frescoes of the Renaissance. If you avoid the tour groups that are in there usually in the mid-morning, then you'll even have the whole place to yourself. In the far right corner you'll find the chapel of the Sassetti family, wealthy bankers for the Medici family, which is completely decked out in a magnificent fresco by Domenico Ghirlandaio, Michelangelo's master. The top central panel includes formal portraits of the Sassetti's together with the big names of the Medici - Lorenzo, and his sons (just children at the time they were painted) Piero, Giovanni (who later became Pope) and Giuliano, all set in Piazza della Signoria - a snapshot of the people of Florence during the Renaissance!
