The staff here were very professional. Breakfast was nice and fresh. The hotel was clean ad all basic needs catered for. The location was good AFTER we had found it. That was our only complain as we had a car and had to leave it ages away and walk. All in all, good value for money.

Top Local Tips for Florence

taxis be prepared for min $20 Euro cab rides and $1Euro for each of your bags. The train and the buses offer great alternatives to pricey taxis.

Swimming pool A bit outside the centre there is a great public outdoor swimming pool. If you go to the tourist information, they will provide you with directions. We walked, but you can also go by bus. It is about 20min walking from the Uffizi Museum. It seemed to be mosly locals there, but the staff speaks English, and it is worth the trip. It is great, since Florence is located so far from the coast.

Tour of Tuscany Wine Country You must do a tour of the Tuscany Wine Country. We used the company Art Viva and it was great.
