We very much appreciated the Fortezza hotel in Florence. Walking distance from all important things to see, spacious rooms (we were 2 adults and a youngster), nice bathroom, breakfast ok (could have been a little bite more variety). Over all a hotel I already recommended.

Top Local Tips for Florence

Touring Florence Make sure you take a guided walking tour. There is so much history you miss seeing things just by yourself. There are alot of them to choose from. We used Avventure Bellissime because advanced booking and payment could be made on the internet, but there are plenty to choose from.

Customised wedding album We got a beautiful wedding album customised in Florence.We are getting married next year.So if anyone is getting married ,and going on a short break to Florence,we would highly recommend investing in a wedding album.Maurice's brother had bought his in Rome,and had recommmeded getting one made in Florence.We shoped around areas around the Duomo ,but there was nothing that really caught our eye.Maurice was adament that he wanted a black leather album,which alot of shops said they did not do. For a good album they willl range between E250 to E500.By pure chance we found this shop.We would recommend to you to however, price around a few places.We found a fantastic shop called EmbossCo in Palazzo Pucci Via Dei Pucci.We got exactly what we wanted,a large black leather wedding album with the crest of Florence on the front of the album.It so unusual.If anyone buys a customised album give me an email.I would love to know what you thought.We highly recommend this shop from their fantastic wor.
