One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The building needs to be gutted or torn down. Significant plumbing/sewage/mold issues.

Top Local Tips for Florence

Lucca Take the train to lucca, there's a fast train that will take a hour to this walled city. Would recommend it at the weekend when Florence is crammed with tourists, an escape from the madness. It has lots of restaurants, shops, market in one of the square and is much cosier to visit than Florence.

Getting from pisa aeropurto to the santa maria novelli train station in Florence We were so worried about finding the right train with our included transfers from the airport to florence but it couldnt have been any easier! The trains stop right outside the airport - if you didnt get transfers included in your holiday booking then you can buy the train tickets in the airport! make sure you validate them using the yellow box at the end of each platform before you board the train or you could face a huge fine! The trains run hourly starting from 06:30! if you took a taxi to florence it would cost you 150GBP! you can also book a coach via the terravision website but the train really is a good option too so dont be put off! The journey took approx 1hr 15 mins.
