Top Local Tips for Florence

Waiting for a Taxi at the Airport If you are arriving late (after 9pm) in Florence, expect a very long wait time for a taxi. After arriving in the Florence airport at 9:45pm, we were shocked to find that there was a long line (queue) of people waiting for taxis that come only once every couple minutes. We waited for a total of 40 minutes in the taxi queue before we were able to finally get a taxi. My recommendation is to be patient and get in the taxi queue as soon as possible.

Great place to stay and one scenic tip Try the Tourist House Ghiberti for a place to stay and make sure you get up to the Piazzale Michaelangelo for the amazing sunset views

Florence Be ready to walk! Also two or three nights is a must and probably enough! We were told to stay one night but decided to do two which was great! Go to Pissa early! P.S Dont forget to say hello to David! (The real one!)
