Everybody in this hotel speaks French which makes it warmful and sympathetic! The location was perfect, the room was OK...clean and comfortable. The only bad thing was the smell in the bathroom....it smells humidity and dirt even though it was really clean! Good choice for the price!!

We've now enjoyed two stays at the Hotel Bodoni - it may not be the easiest hotel to find in Florence but it's well worth the search if you're on a modest budget. The hotel occupies the top two floors of what appears to be an office building. Although it can be accessed directly via the stairs there is a lift direct to the reception area.
Rooms are simple but comfortable and very clean - the double rooms that we've used have had en-suite shower and toilet facilities.
Reception and the small dining room are on the top floor which has access to a small roof terrace/garden with good rooftop views. The hotel operates on a bed and breakfast basis and offers good continental breakfasts. The Hotel has the feel of a family run establishment and the staff are invariably pleasant, friendly and very helpful.
The real benefit of the Hotel Bodoni is its excellent central position - a short walk to the the Duomo and the heart of the ancient town with a wealth of museums, galleries, restaurants and bars virtually on the doorstep.
We're pretty certain that we will be going back to Florence in the future and, when we do, we'll certainly be happy to stay at the Hotel Bodoni again.
