Top Local Tips for Florence
Fabulous Restaurant and Wine Bar overlooking Ponte Vecchio Looks nothing from the other side of the river, but is fabulous. With your back to the Uffizi, walk over the bridge turn left and walk about 100 m. There are 3 entrances, each into a seemingly different section, the minimal house cocktail list is fabulous, and they will make any cocktail you ask for! Great views over the river, and was buzzing on a Sunday evening!
watch out for sitting fees Be sure to check the menu posted outside before you enter- some retaurants charge a sitting fee (a built-in gratuity) so you need not tip on top of it. A FAB place to try: Trattoria Casalinga on one of the corners of Piazza Santo Spirito. TOO GOOD to miss!! Amazing!!
