The history of the Hotel Basilea is quite intriguing and amazing all in itself. The staff was friendly and helpful, ready to assist me with any questions or services that I needed. The rooms were decorated with cool, calming colors and comfortable furnishings. I was surrounded by simple elegance from the moment I entered my room until I relaxed on my sunlit patio terrace. It is a quite escape hidden in the rich history that Florence has to offer. I would highly recommend this hotel property to both business travellers because of its convenient location close to both the Santa Maria Novella train station and the heart of Florence and to leisure travellers looking for a wonderful value for their money and memorable experience.

Top Local Tips for Florence

Florence Train Station The train station worked well for us for getting on the hop-on-hop-off bus. Our hotel - the Grand Hotel Baglioni was directly across the street. Also close to many shopping areas and within walking distance of many museums and popular sites.
