Hotel food absolutely flavourless. Menu said chicken in white wine sauce, roast potatoes and green beans. Received dried up chicken leg, 4 potato wedges, peas with lumps of ham in it. My husband (a vegetarian.) Had a luminous omellette and peas with ham. Yes ham for a vege meal! The bar was fine, cheap, but woe betide anyone who stays in it until 12. We had a bartender getting very irate at 11.30 and ordered us to bed at 12.10. We have nicknamed the hotel Fawlty Towers. Only go there if you need a good laugh and want to meet Basil and Manuel!

Hotel clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Room basic, but adequate. Always plenty of hot water. Food was varied and plentiful. All in all good value for money and I had a wonderful holiday with this hotel as my base.

I have just returned from a touring holiday in Italy, based at the Hotel Bristol in Fiuggi.
After reading the earlier reviews I was filled with a bit of trepidation but was very pleasantly suprised on arrival. A few others complained about this and that but myself and my husband had a great time. The accomodation was spotless and adequate, the owners and staff very friendly and welcoming, the food was a set menu but tasty and plentiful - lets put it this way I was never hungry, quite to the contrary!!
So unless you like 5 star living go to the Hotel Bristol.

We booked with Newmarket and can honestly say the hotel was a dissappointment. The room was dingy, the bathroom cold, you could not close the window because it was broken. The bath wasn't even full sized, the shower you had to hold in your hand. The breakfast was boring and the evening meals were worse. We had fish the first night and then the same pork for every meal afterwards, no vegetables or sauce. The puddings were dry and when we asked for some cream they said no. The soup was the best. No vegetables except tinned peas on one night and every night was cold sliced tomatoes with every meal. Don't have their cheese and ham toasties. The wine and bar prices were cheap and the staff friendly.

We booked with Newmarket holidays and it was our first visit to Italy, we booked on half board basis (big mistake). The food was the worst that we have had in any hotel it was just soup, pasta and a main course which defies description. We didn't have any vegatables at all. The room was not much better than the food. Our first and last visit to Italy.

This hotel probably rates as one of the worst I have ever stayed in. The room was very dirty with a very dated decor. Whilst the bathroom was incredibly small with a shower that needed to be on for 10 mins in order to warm up. The food is basic, described as very basic, but with reasonable portions.

Not much happens in Fiuggi, other than drinking the spa waters, but the warm friendliness of local people more than compensates. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Not a lot of English spoken, but I speak Italian, so that was not a problem. Breakfasts were a bit Spartan, but the dinners were fine. (I had the best fresh olives here -- with a generous second helping! -- that I have ever had anywhere.)
Fiuggi is an excellent centre for touring -- Monte Casino, Rome, Pompeii and Frascati, though I would not want to stay there for a holiday.
The room was clean and comfortable, though the elevation made it cool in the evening. There was also quite a lot of traffic on the road outside, but that is usual in Italy and did not bother me. I would go back to this hotel with its almost family atmosphere.

Not worth the price we paid.
the food in my opinion was terrible, no choice or vegetables and sub standard.
the room in my opinion was not much better with sparse furniture and dated decor.
not somewhere I would ever consider going to again
