We were amongst a party of travellers on a Travelsphere holiday and, having read previous reviews, were apprehensive about our stay. The hotel is situated opposite the railway station and the announcements and trains can be heard early morning and late at night,However, this was far outweighed by the excellent food and service we received. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Four of the party had a birthday in the week that we were there and the chef made them a birthday cake at no extra cost. The food was excellent, four courses each night, and the offer of seconds! We wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

We travelled as a group of 4 with our friends and were pleasantly surprised by our stay at the Olympic. We knew it was opposite the railway station and expected some noise. What noise we got did not particularly disturb us. Views from our 1st floor balcony were not brilliant, but then we did not spend much 'waking' time in the room! Rooms were spotlessly clean, food, both at breakfast and dinner, was plentiful,dinner being varied from day to day, bottled water and red or white wine (approx 1 bottle per day between 4 guests) were presented at dinner each day. Staff were welcoming, cheerful, helpful and gave excellent service. Hotel was about 5/6 minutes walk to the beach which was excellent. Great holiday and would do it again.

A warm welcome which was continued throughout the holiday. friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms bath rooms a little small if you are on the large side. Lovely veranda on third floor with outstanding views. Food good. We enjoyed our stay at this family run hotel and would definately return. So much to see and do!

The hotel is opposite the railway station which is of course noisy at times but caused us no problem with sleeping after a long day's holiday making. (The wine may have helped also) The room was on the third floor, clean and tidy with a good sized bathroom including loo, shower and bidet. Others did appear to have smaller bathrooms though. A travel fan was adequate to compensate for the lack of air conditioning. Disabled facilities are fairly non existent but the group with which we travelled (some fairly elderly) seemed to have little trouble. The lift can fit 4 people. The roof terrace can only be reached by a flight of stairs but gives nice views out to sea and is a good spot for sunbathing. The food is excellent and plentiful. The service is very good and efficient. Views from the balcony are not the most visual but still pleasant. If you enjoy the Ligurian life style you will love your stay. Relaxed and friendly.

All must be aware that this hotel is dirrectly opposite a railway station, with trains blowing their whistles, tanoys anouncing each train and of course the noise of these trains.these start at 5.20 am until 12pm every day. The bedrooms have no air conditioning or ventilation the patio door to the balcony is the source of air and noise from the trains. The bathroom is very very small and a tight squeeze to use with the door shut, Acces to the hotel lobby from the street is via steps there is no ramp for a wheelchair , the lift serving the bedroom floors is not big enough to accomodate a wheelchair and its occupier. Food is ok and the waitresses friendly. The main problem being the noise from the railway station that is not mentioned on the hotel web site and is ommited from travel brochures.
