Top Local Tips for Courmayeur

Don't go to "Bar Roma" Don't go here!!! We had an extremely bad experience here and bottom line is we were ripped off by the manager! On purchase of a bottle of champagne we were advised it was 18euros for the bottle, then he charged us 120 euros! We checked the price of the bottle of champagne at a local bottle shop and it was only 12.50 euros - how's that for a mark up!!!. He admitted to 'charging whatever he wanted and there was nothing we could do about it'. We spoke to a number of people in local bars and it become apparent that the management of Bar Roma clearly doesn't like tourists and apparently takes advantage of tourists all the time! Oh did I mention this happened on our wedding day!!!
