I vacation in Como frequently and have stayed at all five of the top luxury hotels on the lake. I find Albergo Terminus to the be the best located and most comfortable of the grand old luxury hotels. In addition, it is the best value. The hotel is the only luxury hotel within walking distance of the many restaurants and shops in Como and is also located directly across the street from the ferry service which connects to all other vinues and villages along Lake Como. The rooms are large and beautifully appointed and the the hotel grounds are magnificent. To top it off, I fhave found the Albergo Terminus staff to be the most friendly and service oriented around. The only drawback to the hotel is that on my last visit, they were fully booked. My fault for not booking well in advance. I recommend Albergo Terminus hands down as the best of Como! Ciao!
