Top Local Tips for Cernobbio

Ferry The ferry takes you into Como in a few minutes and is worth the trip. In the other direction, Bellagio is the most lovely little town.

Cernobbio. Cernobbio is a pleasant enough suburd of Como, but is basically a bedroom community with no point of interest whatsoever. It does have a weekly market of some interest. There is a magnificent Villa Visconti with a beautiful park but the villa itself is not open to the public. If you are up to it you can walk to Como, the closest town, in about 1/2 hour or take a water taxi to there which takes 15 minutes and cost 1.80 euros. You can also walk to the dazzling Ville d'Este, one of the great hotels of the planet for a meal, tea or a drink.
