If you are planning to stay half board, I would not envy you. Breakfast consists of a pile of biscuits, some stale cakes, a jar of cornflakes and maybe some croissants if you get there early enough. Evening meals have to be chosen the day before. The menu has three choices. On 4 nights veal or fish were the main options. I found most of the pasta starters to be under cooked as they crunched when you ate them! This did suprise me as I was in Italy. Desserts were made from the left over cakes from breakfast then covered in cream! Be careful with the drinks at your evening meal as you will be charged for them at the end of your stay, you won't be told about this. The waiter/waitress service consists of one girl that puts your plates in front of you and thats about it. The dining room isn't the one you see on the website, it's a much larger room on the 1st floor, you'll find you will be very close to the people sat next to you too. You will see on the website that there is a very nice looking pool, this pool is fine if you are 2ft tall, I've seen bigger garden ponds.
I was suprised how poor the customer service was in this hotel, as our rep said the people in this area are famous for being friendly and welcoming. None of us in the hotel were ever asked if we had a nice day/evening, we was never advised about the bikes that you could use from the hotel and you felt that they was doing you a favor if you wanted something from the bar. The say when for the pouring of the spirits was good tho! The highlight of the stay was the other guests, we had some nice evenings with them which was a good chance to have a laugh at the food and the staff!
