Watch the pavements Some of the worst pavements I've ever sense. Full of holes, uneven, and in a pretty bad state of repair in many instances.

Taxis cost 10 euro no matter where you go Taxis in Catania cost 10 euro no matter where you go. Nobody uses a meter and this is the agreed price for tourists by all the drivers. Talk about trying to shake a reputation! Always barter the price before you take a taxi OR insist that the journey is on the meter.
