Top Local Tips for Castelrotto

Getting the most of out and about I would suggest a hire car to fully experience the time in this area and beyond. There is public transport but a vehicle gives you more freedom. The public transport was a little crowded in summer and buying a ticket proved a challenge at times from other destinations. A car offered some fantastic driving around the mountain range

Passo Pardoi Get up to Passo Pardoi with the lift, it's a fascinating place. Lunar.

Local transport To get to the Seiseralm you have to use the shuttle bus to the cable car (15mins) but, so long as you say you are using the cable car (and can show your ticket on the return leg) the bus is free.The road to the Alm is shut to cars from 0900-1700 unless you are a guest in accommodation up there.
