Naples Dont let the tax drivers rip you off, check the price to the airport as they will probably make one up at twice the price when you get there

Make an effort to get the most from Capri Stay on Capri - its so much nicer when the daytripper crowds have gone home - then make an effort. Walk out of the town to the Arco Naturelle or Villa Jovis. Go up Monte Solaro. Take a private boat trip around the island. Yes, the shops make Bond Street look like Chelmsford High Street but there's really much more to Capri once you escape the town.

Let the dock porters take your bags up to the hotel! There is a finely tuned system to get your bags up the hill to your hotel room which I suggest all travelers use. Upon getting off the boat, a uniformed dock porter will take your bags (8 Euros each) and take them to your destination....Our hotel paid for the porters once the bags arrived and just added it to the bill.... same for leaving. Do not drag your bags onto the funicular, or if taking a taxi , through the rough streets of Capri since no cars are allowed past the city. Do not be alarmed by the thousands of day trippers....they come at 11am and leave by 4pm. Plan your hikes in the early morning.
