My wife and our 3 children (ages 6,7 and 9)had a wonderful 6 day stay. Marimonti has 8 rooms for rent, all of which are on the second floor. These rooms offer wonderful vistas. Rosa, the hostess was exceptional in accomodating us. The morning breakfasts were simple pastries and beverages and was perfect for our family. The countryside view from the rooms was fabulous along with the nightime summer breezes. The only possible drawback for this hotel is the location. It is approximately a 1/2 mile from the center of town sitting at the top of the hill on the main road out of town. We had relatives staying in the older part of town, so we had about a 1 mile downhill walk every morning. Although us and our children did not have a problem with it, an older or less agile person might take exception to the distance. affordability = 10 cleanliness = 10 staff = 10 access to main part of town = 8 The town is truly wonderful. The Thursday morning market on the street offers food, toys, clothes, auto parts, etc. We sampled the gelato and pastries from several of the places and they were all exceptional. Piazza Garibaldi was flowing with people. There is even a small park where the children can play. The walk to Mount Calvary up the side of the hill offers a tremendous view of Calitri. The medieval passageways winding and twisting from one level to the next are exhilarating. We would easily stay at Marimonti again.

Man oh man.. if I could have stayed the rest of my life, i would have. what a wonderfully relaxing stay in a wonderful accommodtion. Such a perfect place to unwind from the (albeit beautiful) fast pace of Rome. Lovely room, lovely hosts, great coffee and wine(s). I will return again and again. Thank you both!
