getting to the hotel on leaving the airport catch the number one bus, it costs less than 2 euros, and drops you at the hotel door in 10mins,

nearby restaurants Half way between the hotel and the station is a family style restaurant called La Ciotola.Best meal we had during our stay. Extensive menu, well cooked ,innovative ( a starter of pear with a sauce of gorgonzola cheese, cream and walnuts----amazing. As was all the food we had. Wish we had found it on our first night!

Sant’Agostino Bergamo Alta If you go to Bergamo you must take a trip on the funicolare to the Citta Alta where there is so much to see around the cobbled old streets, including the old church of Sant'Agostino. If you are thinking of going to Milan to visit the Duomo, this place is far superior, filled with things that will make you stand and stare for ages and ages. There are even some paintings of the Arc that have only recently been unearthed and put on display.
