Best Bellagio Hotel!

Just got back from our trip in Italy. We found Silvio to be one of the best places we stayed at during our whole journey. The food was excellent, rooms spotlessly clean and super hotel service from the staff. We felt we were home guests rather than paying customers. That's the perfect place for a relaxing holiday away from the crowds & impersonal big hotels' treatment.

To all those who like genuine food and Italian hospitality at its best, the only thing I could say is: DON'T MISS SILVIO Hotel&Restaurant!
My husband, our 2 children and I spent 4 days in Bellagio at Silvio's: a modern hotel with fab views of the Lake and excellent cuisine.The served some good fresh Lake fish caught directly by Silvio (the owner) and his son Cristian.The best experience we had during our travel along the beautiful Italian peninsula.

Top Local Tips for Bellagio

travel to bellagio if driving to bellagio from Milan, take the road through Lecco to avoid the congestion of Como. However, neither of the roads up the peninsula to Bellagio are very good, as both are narrow and twisty with a lot of traffic.

Getting around We flew into Milan and took a train from the airport to Como. Then we walked across the street and bought a bus ticket to Bellagio. We told the driver to stop at Silvio's, and he stopped right across the street from the hotel. Of course you could get a cab for less effort, but this was a much more charming and less expensive way to arrive for us. When going back to Milan, we took the ferry from Bellagio to Varenna (a 15 minute ride), another charming but more quiet town, and caught the train from there.

Be aware of lack of parking spaces! If you go to Bellagio make sure your hotel offers some free parkings.Some hotels do, for some other you have to book it in advance and pay for it (as they don't have enough for all the Guests) and some other don't have their private parking space at all!To be frank a car in Bellagio is quite useless, but nice to have if your hotel has a space for it.You can easily drive to Switzerland (skip local roads-they're a nightmare for people not used to winding narrow road with no visability!).There are some blue-line parking areas for which you have to pay 1,5 Euro/hour from 8am to 8 pm.-so a nice free spot is much better if you have to spend a week in Bellagio for example.
