Top Local Tips for Baveno

Trains Baveno has a station that not all trains stop at, however, train prices are incredibly cheap compared to the UK and very efficient. If it doesn't stop at Baveno then the train will stop at Stresa just down the road. I would recommend them to anyone and upgrading to first class costs next to nothing.

Lake ferry service When using the ferries get the ticket which allows stops on the islands it's only two or three euros more than the non-stopping ticket.

Use ferries. Use ferries much cheaper than private boats. Trips very expensive, easy to arrange for oneself. Combined tickets for Madre and Bella cheaper. Train station closeby if wanting to visit Milan or Geneva. One can swim in the lake but it is very stony and very deep.
