Enjoy Assisi on Foot Wander around on foot through the winding, hilly alleys of this beautiful Medieval town in order to appreciate its historical and spiritual significance.

Little dog There is a little tourist shop next to a small bar called river. The son owns the bar and his mother the shop. The mother sits outside with her little dog Gilda this dog seems to own the town and checks out everyone. Buy a drink from the bar and sit across the road on the provided seats and watch the world go by. Assisi is best seem when all the tour buses leave and the real locals come out. This is a perfect place the watch the city change from a tourist mecca back into a sleepy village.
