Asissi Hotels and sites Any hotel in town is close to everything. Assisi is a small village where everything is accessible by foot. There is a large invasion of day tourists so arrive early or later at the main attractions. The other churches in town are great and don't miss Santa Maria degli Angeli near the train station. The bus from town takes you right to the church, then a short walk to the station.
