Amalfi the end of june is very humid and very hot. May or september are nicer temperatures

Fabulous place to get lunch/breakfast inexpensively There's a wonderful and inexpensive cafe right when you first enter the Amalfi town square. It is directly on the right with a cute awning and a title like "san marco" or something to the effect....just a tiny little space with a big glass counter going down one side. The food is to die for. We got fresh donuts in the morning, rice balls for snacks, and absolutely fabulous calzones. If you eat 1 or 2 meals a day there, it is easy to splurge on dinner! :)
