Magnificent Mediterranean
After a day of travel to finally arrive on the Amalfi coast in the early evening, the splendor of my surrounds did not hit me till we had been shown into our room (smaller than I expected from the price, but beautifully tiled )and the French windows to the little verandah were thrown open. Just Fabulous!
Fantastic location + hotel to match. Set in an old Covent perched on the cliffs all rooms have sea view. We were upgraded to a suite on arrival, then spent the rest of the day by the pool that runs into the sea. Food was great but with a 5 star price tag. The only negative point was that the coastal road the hotel sits on was extremely busy as it is the thoroughfare for Amalfi, therefore walking to the town center was playing with your life (just let the hotel park your car!). But it was worth it!!
