Stayed here for a week on a B & B basis in early Oct 2005. Be sure to pay the supplement for a sea view room which will have some form of balcony to enjoy the view. Bedrooms OK with good bathrooms.
Very good pool, plus an OK little adjacent swimming beach, unfortunately spoiled by ugly adjacent Fertilia buildings (water clean and warm enough to swim at this time of year). You will need a car to get into Alghero in the evening (where there are loads of good eating places and nice strolls to be had thro' the old town), also to visit Capo Caccia and other superb coastline and beaches to the West and North.
Moans were a wedding taking over virtually all public areas on the Sat; truly awful noisy late evening entertainment to about midnight or beyond on the terrace; and car parking can be difficult at times.
But better to stay here than most of the other Alghero hotels as they generally aren't close enough to the town centre for an easy walk and most have a busy road in front. HOWEVER, ... Read more |
