Idyllic location and wonderful atmosphere
We spent a wonderfully relaxing 3 nights here. The hotel is in a beautiful location -with lovely mountain walks on the doorstep. The surrounding villages are very unspoilt and not very touristy at all. The couple who run the hotel were very welcoming and extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and were more than adequate for our needs. There's a very family/homely atmosphere to the whole place. There was plenty to keep the children occupied while at the hotel - ping pong table, table football, cards, board games, games like Mastermind, etc. Outside there were swings, slides etc. for younger children as well as hammocks, garden chairs etc. We felt very welcome and very much at home here.

A bit of heaven on earth...
This was our third time we have stayed at Le Marmotte, and each time has been wonderful, peaceful, and memorable! Allessandro and AnnaLisa, the delightful young couple who run Le Marmotte, are very helpful. Additionally, Allessandro studied cooking at several restaurants in Milan; and he is a fabulous chef, preparing both typical Piemontese dishes as well as delectable Milanese and other regional cuisine. Needless to say, we did not wish to leave; and we are already planning our next visit! There is great hiking in the area, and other activities are also popular--including horseback riding, cross-country skiing, and even hang-gliding. There are also some very interesting local museums. Last summer, we brought our family with us so that they could...Read more
