| Very disappointing |
|
As a dyalasis patient I have special needs, which I asked about before I booked. They were not in place when we arrived. There was a blocked drain in the bathroom which took them two days to clear (but only after I called the duty manager at 8:30pm). There was mold growing all round the window frames, on the sills, the walls around the window, around the bath and the wash basin. We were herded into the dining room at a time set by the management, which differed each night, and when I spoke to the manager about this he was most unhelpful and added insult to injury by telling me it was because I was with a tour party, thus making me a second class citizen. This hotel spoiled what was otherwise a most enjoyable holiday. I would not recommend it. |

| No complaints at all |

This was a lovely hotel and cannot fault it in anyway. The hotel was clean and everyone helpful; and the food was wonderful. No complaints at all. |

| Disappointing |
|
I stayed at the Earl Of Desmond Hotel early June'05 for 2 nights and was very disappointed to find that there was no room service, so breakfast in bed was out. Had I known this I would not have booked this hotel and would have left after the first night, only the second night had been paid for. No other food was avaiable until the bar opened at 12.30. There was also no residents lounge. As both these are an important facility for me, my week-end was not as enjoyable as I had hoped. No room service should be highlighted on their web page. I wrote to the hotel but have received no response to date. The Hotel was nice and the staff excellent but would bypass this hotel in the future. |
