Noise during early hours

About 3am on the Sunday morning was woken by a noisy party immediately outside my room. On looking out saw a group standing in car park area near my car and opposite a side door from a function room ?, which was open. There was great hilarity from the party as they directed cars out of the hotel car park spaces.
Later overheard a member of staff at breakfast advising a guest that there had been a party at a next door premises and that was where the noise had occurred. This was not correct.
As a result of this experience and what appears to be a heavy drinking culture in the Hotel bar I would not recommend the hotel.
