Top Local Tips for Limerick

The Moose One of the most enjoyable things we did on our trip--our first time abroad--was to sit in The Moose Pub and visit with the locals. It's just a small neighborhood pub but the locals were friendly and we enjoyed meeting them and sharing experiences with them. Our trip to Dolan's Pub was enjoyable as the music was excellent, but it seemed to cater more to international businessmen rather than to individuals.

Driving is confusing As an American, I had a big problem driving in Ireland, and Limerick, while mostly a smaller town, was very confusing to drive in. The streets are not marked in the way we are accustomed to in America. This is not a bad thing, I'm simply warning ahead of time with some info I would have liked to have had. I was not there long enough to find out about public transport, but if returning I would not do a rental car. I would instead utilize tours to see this beautiful country and the area around Limerick.

Hunt Museum This is a lovely museum and well worth a trip. Nice cafe too.
