Ou room 323 in Jurys Inn was large and comfortable with a view over the Shannon river. The exterior of the hotel looks like a toilet block but is comfortable enough for a short stay. Close to town and restaurants. Downstairs has bar and restaurant which is relevantly cheap. Average hotel.

Good Location

from ejworden
Jury's Inn is a business style hotel with good proximity to Pubs and food. Basic and clean with decent size rooms. Our room was on a busy street but the windows blocked out most of the noise. Good buffet style breakfast in the morning and average price.

Pretty good

from MarkMaffei
Spent last Saturday night there. Pretty good hotel, close to everything you want, bars, shops etc..

Would probably stay there again if I was in town for a short break.

PROS: Book river view room at least you have something to look at. Large comfortable room. Good restaurant downstairs.

CONS: Facade looks like a toilet block....inside not much better but at least its average and reasonable rates.

WHAt TO DO: get out....drive to the Cliffs of Moher.

Satisfactory stay

from WAStateTraveler
Our room was located on the 2nd floor directly over the round-about, it was noisy but not enough to keep us awake at night. The room was larger then other hotels we have stayed in it was very clean and had a wonderful view of the Shannon river.

We were traveling with a friend who's room was located on the 4th floor it was also large (even had a sofa) very clean and less noisy. The location is great, for someone on a buget I would recomend this hotel.

The hotel is very average. Although I found the rooms to be very clean.

The staff were helpfull also.

A good experience

from Kathleen42
We actually had a good experience here. The price was great ($49 night for high season in August), the room was small but clean and had everything we needed. The location was good, the staff was helpful. We found it to be an easy place to get our bearings -- cheap enough that we weren't expecting anything luxurious and a comfortable enough place to get some sleep before starting off. The pub staff was particularly friendly. We didn't find it to be too noisy, but we were on the top floor and kept the windows closed. There is construction going on across the street, so that could be a problem, but we were there on a bank holiday, so it was quiet.

Average all the Way Around

My husband and I, and two travelling companions, stayed at Jury's Inn in Limerick on the last night of our tour of Ireland. In a nutshell, nothing stands out as overly problematic and nothing stands out as overly spectacular.

The rooms in the hotel were nice, more spacious than other hotels we stayed in during our trip. The location of the hotel was only a few minutes walking distance from a pub called Dolan's, which we enjoyed for its live Traditional Irish Music. The hotel did seem to sit in a slightly rougher part of town and I would not recommend walking by yourself after dark.

We visited Bunratty Castle during our stay in Limerick. This was about a 20 minute drive. I would definitely recommend visiting Bunratty. The castle was magnificent as were many others during our visit, but what really made Bunratty stand out were the furnishings. They have 14th century furninshings on display which are in pristine condition.

We found the staff at Jury's Inn to be very friendly and efficient. Maybe things are improving since some of the other reviewers visited. One thing we did not like was having to pay the 7.50 Euro or $10 American to park. It was the only time we had to pay to park on our whole trip, including our time in Dublin.

Unhappy experience

from A TripAdvisor Member
On my arrival I was greeted in a very unkindly manner. Initially I was told that my prepaid accomodations were not available and my booking no longer exhisted. While I was locating my confirmation information, another attendent informed the desk clerk that my items were in order and that they were preparing a room. The room provided was very small and dusty. Not ready for a stay after crossing the Atlantic. Then I was charged for items I had paid for namely the breakfast. I was very disenchanted and told many of my Irish family members.

Too noisy

from moomingirl
We booked to stay only one night in this hotel... and it was fine for a such a short stay.. We arrived before the check-in time of 2pm but we were able park our hire car in the secure multi-storey car park behind the hotel (costs 7.50 Euro overnight) and wander off round town.

Our room overlooked the river, but a partly built building was obscuring what was probably a nice view in the past (see photo). Room was pretty standard, but our main complaint was the noise, mainly from constant traffic, and then the building work on the building opposite started at 8am on the Monday morning... Windows were double glazed, but didn't block out enough sound... Room had no air-conditioning (in common with the others hotels on our holiday throughout Ireland) and we really wanted to open the window, but outside noise was too much even later in night.

Londis newsagent/grocers opposite was very useful, and the town had a fair range of restaurants/pubs

Cheap but noisy

from John_in_UK
The good points: cheap online rate (62 Euros/night) & good location
The bad points: incredibly noisy, even on a weeknight

The hotel is generally L-shaped, with one flank overlooking the Shannon & the other beside one of the main approach roads into the city. My room overlooking the road, even when I'd managed to shut the window, felt like it had no window at all. On arrival it took 4 trips to reception before being able to open my door; one frustrated girl was manning reception single handedly. Morning checkout was very efficient. Cleanliness was fine; rooms and corridors looking a bit tired; amazingly slow lifts.

Continental or full cooked breakfast served buffet style for reasonable cost.

Cliff of Moher Take the bus 337 Bus Eireann (Limerick - Doolin) to Cliff of Moher. The bus stops at the coach park and costs 19 EUR p/p RETURN. The busstation has timetables.

Bobby Byrnes Try eating at Bobby's, it is a good pub and excellent traditional food. Go past St.Josephs Church and its on the corner. Also well situated for those interested in the "Angela's Ashes " aspect of Limerick.
