Booked this hotel because of leisure facilities but were not informed at time of booking or on arrival that they were out of order. Pre-booked evening meal at 78 euros but were told as we were about to order dinner that we would be charged an additional 10 euros if we ordered steak even though it would have been cheaper for us to have waited and ordered off the menu. The meal was one of the worst we ever had, fillet steak was more like rump, duck was tough, chips were frozen and over cooked and cheesecake was frozen solid and inedible. Staff were nice but all in all not a good experience. Would not recommend this hotel and would not return.

I stayed at the Tara Hotel last week 26th Oct and found it to be a lovely Hotel. I used broadband in the bedroom for the week for only 50 and had dinner in the turntable restaurant every night. The prawn and monk is spectacular and they are certified farm to fork Irish produce. If you're in Killybegs it is the only place to stay...
