Great location and good value

from simonharris
As a base for visting County Kerry this hotel is in a great location just 5 minutes drive from the Town Centre and on the main road leading to all the main attractions in the area. Check in was fine although i did question why the card slip showed two nights when it was confimed we were staying three and was tol dthat was ok. Well, it was not as on our second day our cards denied us access to our rooms and we had to get them revalidated. Only a small point but was agrivating and should not have happened. The rooms are large by Irish Standards and were clean and comfortable. Ask for a room on the second or thirds floors as i imagine those on the ground floor would by affected by the noise from the Bar. The Bar is attached to the Hotel was convenent and offered fairly basic but reasonable food. All in all a good choice for people visisting the area

Hi. For anyone visiting Kerry or Kilarney u could do worse than stay at the Kilarney Court. If like me, you are mostly concerned with (a) price/value for money, (b) staff attitude, and (c) location, then this place comes out high on these! Decor may be a lttle tired but the price and the wonderful obliging staff more than make up for it.

Killarney Summerfest a blast!

Got tickets for Killarney Summerfest gig last April & decided to book accommodation then in case everywhere was booked later. Got a double room in Killarney Court. Arrived Friday night - good reception. The room was fine if a bit basic. The en-suite was best part with an excellent shower. The problem was breakfast. I've seen buffet breakfasts work in other hotels but not this one! You give your room number on arrival, are told to pick a table anywhere and help yourself to food. Cereal & juice are no problem. However, when you get to the full Irish, the queue was rather long ... and very slow moving. Saturday morning took approx. 10 minutes but Sunday morning took between 15-20 minutes - definitely not acceptable in my book. By the time we got our food, someone else had taken our table!! even though our tea & coffee were still there. We had to get a new table with fresh tea & coffee. The moral of my story is ... if you don't want to queue in the Killarney Court, be in the dining room at 8. After 9:15am, forget it!

I stayed here last month for a weekend with my girl friend and had a fantastic time. The staff were so friendly and help full, advising us on all the best places to go and see. All in all they made our stay in the hotel and Killarney as a whole a joy. Great value for money to.

A big thanks to all the staff.

Wish I was there......again.......!

My husband and I recently booked in to the Killarney Court Hotel as we took a short break around Kerry. We were delighted to find that for a very reasonable rate we had a clean and comfortable room as well as leisure facilities to help us relax! On previous visits to Killarney we stayed in other hotels but I think we have found the one we will go back to. Thanks to the friendly staff for an enjoyable stay.

Great value, good food, busy Irish pub, new hotel with very comfortable rooms.

Spent a weekend break there with my family. We were very well looked after. We shared two very comfortable rooms. The hotel is walking distance from the town cnetre and even closer to Killarney Golf Course and more importantly for a keen walker like myself I was 3 minutes from lake and woodland walks and a 15 minutes drive from way marked trails into the hills and mountains.

The staff were excellent with plenty of local knowledge. The food was good with a choice of pub and restaurant however the restaurant lacked atmosphere. Overall pleasent comfortable stay good value for money.

Top Local Tips for Killarney

Use the hotels website When booking a hotel anywhere it normally is best value to book on their own web middle men .

best pub the laurels and the granary are good watering holes

Toruing the Ring Killarney is a great centre for touring most parts of S.W. Ireland. If you do the Ring of Kerry (and everyone does) don't go counter-clockwise because all the buses go in that direction.
