Amazing!

From the moment we spoke to the lady in reservations,she put together a package that suited us, including treatments in the spa and dinner(no was not in her vocabulary, and she took the time to explain everything)we couldnt have asked more from her she was so helpful even at 8 and 9 pm at night! (booking in Europe can be awkward due to the time difference, so it was a pleasant change). She even booked a transfer from the airport for us (if your not the best traveller, its super to have these little things organised for you when you go away)down to her letter to welcome us both to not only the hotel, but to Ireland as I had mentioned that it was our first trip here and how much we were looking forward to being there.
The entire staff were, amazing all the way through our short but wonderful stay, we knew it would be by the way our booking was taken from the beginning. Nothing was left to chance by this hotel, every inch is perfectly masterd by all that work there, reception staff were so proffesional, yet kind and shared a joke! All staff looked like they were enjoying working, how rare to find that these days??
Even in the restaurant when it was clear they were busy, they continued to be so helpful and were always there to answer our queries on typical Irish food(yet not intrusive like other 5 star hotels).
Even the manager (lovely gentleman) came to say hello as we were dining that morning.
Staff and service are absolutly second to none! EVERYTHING WAS 5 STAR! I will be back on my return visit to Ireland in 2006!

I agree with all the other reviews about this hotel. It is wonderful - basically, everything works! The staff are marvelous, and nothing is too much trouble (and they manage this without being 'in your face' or making you feel uncomfortable). The rooms are gorgeous, with comfortable ENORMOUS beds, a lovely bathroom with separate bath and shower and free fluffy robes.
The public areas are comfortable, and make you feel like you are in a country house. We particularly liked the billiard room and the drawing room.
The swimming pool is a good size, the jacuzzi well kept (none of that horrible foam that you often get when the chemicals are not properly applied), and there is even an outdoor hot-tub (great in the rain!) and a cold plunge pool right by the sauna.
The atmosphere in the hotel is friendly. It is the kind of place where you feel that you shouldn't walk through the lobby in your dirty walking boots, but that is is perfectly fine to take them off and walk through in your socks.
I definitely want to come back here

Just returned from Ireland, and spent three nights at the Killarney Park hotel. I found everone there without exception to be friendly & helpful. The room was lovely, and the spa treatment excellent. Normally I stay at B&B's while visiting Ireland. However, this is one hotel I plan to revisit again next year.

Again i read all the reviews and was still not only delighted i was amazed. I booked 5 rooms celebrating a family occasion and was delighted at the decor, size, finish, thought, comfort and uniqueness that had gone into each room.
This must be at least rated 5 star for next year. We all agreed the staff are thoroughly trained and extremely efficient and friendly.
This hotel is not extensively promoted in Ireland and it should be as its still a real find.
We will be back probably before the year is out.

Well done whoever owns this hotel.

I stayed here in april and it was one of the best hotel experiences of my life the staff ,food and ambiance in the hotel was exceptional.No was not in the vocabulary of the staff.However Upon checking up on the hotel after my stay I couldnt believe it got only four stars It is definately a five star and a six in my heart.I will be back

This hotel has got to be the best hotel that I have ever stayed at, including both in US and Europe! The price can't be beat. The room was extremely clean, updated, and exquisite tastes throughout. 2 Plasma T.V.'s, fireplace, very comfortable bed, free internet connection, chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, fruit, and free breakfast included with every room. All under $300Euro's! The staff was immediately at our door at our every call, room service as fast, the food was terrific, pool beautiful. Although we didn't use the spa, other guests were overheard with very positive responses. I would go back to Ireland, just to stay at this hotel!

After reading all of the flawless reviews of the Killarney Park Hotel, (and seeing the highest ratings of ANY hotel on the site that I have seen) I thought that I was in for a nice time. Words cannot express the most amazing experience my husband and I had at the hotel. From the moment we walked in the door it was pure perfection! We were in Ireland to celebrate my birthday - and it couldn't have been any better!
The room that we had was beautiful - it was large and included 3 flat screen tv's (including one in the tub!), a deck, soft leather chairs, immaculate bedding, and stellar water pressure. The compliementary breakfast was amazing - not only could you choose from a wide array of cereals, muffins, croissants, and granola, it was also possible to order a full Irish breakfast, pancakes, waffles, etc.
The restaurant is delicious, and the bar is lots of cozy fun.
The nicest part about the hotel is the staff. ALL are very accomodating and helpful. Our wonderful reservationist, whom we requested meeting, advised us on local tours and attractions which made our trip even better!
Our experience at the KPH was so amazing that I have booked my parents a trip this fall!!!
If you go, you will return! HIGHLY recommended!!!

I recently stayed at the Killarney Park while attending a conference which was being held in another Killarney hotel. Even though I live in Kerry and had passed the hotel on occasion, nothing could have prepared me for just how wonderful it was in every way. The staff were the best trained and friendliest I have ever encountered anywhere. I travel extensively and can honestly say that this was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms and bathrooms were large and spotlessly clean. My friends had rooms on different floors and the decor was different in each. On our return each evening we could unwind in one of the seated areas in the lobby or Library next to a pleasant fire and even though we were in the heart of Tourist Land, could manage to convince ourselves that we were the only ones there! There were lots of board games etc. in the library for those wet evenings in winter or just for an hour after returning from exploring the beautiful scenery. The pool and spa area were fabulous also. My husband and I are going back for a weekend in August to celebrate our Anniversary......can't wait!!!

While situated in the middle of bustling Killarney, the Killarney Park Hotel is like finding the perfect secret hideaway and hoping that no one else catches on.

Elegant, yet not at all stuffy, the hotel feels like you've wandered into one of Ireland's great country manor homes. The staff was simply one of the best we've ever encountered and went out of their way to assist us.

Its central location makes everything in Killarney within walking distance, which is lovely when you want to wander the town.

The room was one of the largest we found in Ireland and Great Britain, beautifully decorated and impecibly clean.

The hotel just begs you to explore it's many amentities or it's many ideal locations to simply curl up with a good book and a cup of tea to unwind after a long day of sightseeing!

I can't wait to return someday.

We have just returned from a 5-Star tour of Ireland. Without a doubt, the Kilarney Park Hotel was our best stay on the tour, even outshining some 5 star castles we stayed in. The staff and Service was excellent! We were pampered from the minute we arrived! We will return!

Top Local Tips for Killarney

County Kerry We were told Killarney gets really crowded in the high season so try and go in the off months to avoid the crowds. County Kerry is one of the most beautiful counties in Ireland and along with County Clare, two must see's. Definitely take a jaunting car ride (horse drawn cart) to Muckross House. Killarney Nat'l Park is beautiful as well. If you can get a tour bus, you may want to drive the Ring Of Kerry which is a circular loop around the county. Driving is pretty tough due to narrow roads and poor signs, so unless you really know how do drive a manual car in narrow roads, take a bus. Another beautiful place to see is the Dingle Peninsula although that is a bit of a drive as well.

Bricin restaurant Please go eat at Bricin. This is a restaurant/craft store. The ambiance is lacking, however, the food is amazing and I'm a self admitted foodie. The flavor's and spices used are perfect and the price is right.

Killarney in bad weather Look, let's be honest here. In Ireland you just can't guarantee the weather. If you are going to Killarney, prepare by bringing wet gear and don't let the weather put you off. Dress warmly and keep dry, and there is very little that you can't do.
