Great hotel, staff unfriendly and impolite

This hotel was a great place to stay if you're looking for closeness to the buzz of the city of Galway. Everything was located right outside our doorstep. Although, upon meeting with staff, particularly, the hotels Receptionists we found she was extremely rude, unfriendly and impolite to our group. We definitely felt we were discriminated because of our age and we will not be returning to there or any of the Jury hotels because of this. It really took away from the enjoyment of our w/end.

Jurys hotel in Galway is situated on the quay, bang near town and offers a weary traveller the joys of a comfortable bed and a friendly smile from staff. The price is reasonable for Ireland. Enjoy.

Top Local Tips for Galway

Lemongrass-Thai restaurant This restaurant is directly opposite the Jurys Inn on the Spanish Arch. For those who don't know Lemongrass is a chain of Thai restaurants, I have been to the one in Howth, Dublin before and enjoyed it but this one in Galway was fantastic, the food was gorgeous, would definately recommend the platter starter for two people, the singapore noodles, roasted duck and chocolate cake were all devine. The staff were brilliant, really friendly, polite, cleared the table promptly. The atmosphere is nice too and the tables are not too close together.

Recommendations Heading Out In Galway - Visit the Quays pub or the Kings Head. For dining, try the Kirwans Lane or The Malt House.

expensive cabs/taxis are expensive use the bus whenever you can and once your in the city everywhere is within walking distance anyway
