I stayed here recentley and I have to say this is the nicest hotel I have stayed in, I cannot believe it is only a 3star this could easily be a 4star hotel, The decor is fantastic the location is amazing and the rooms are to die for, I honestly thought that they had put us in a luxury room instead of s standard but we were in the right room and it was so well presented and clean, I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Excellent Location, but hotel has a bit of a down side!!

My partner and I stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago for 2 nights. The hotel is in an ideal location and all the major sites, bars, shopping are all within walking distance.
The hotel was very nice and the rooms were clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful and the buffet breakfast was excellent.
There was only one down-side to this hotel and that was the noise. The hotel is right next to a fire station! When I booked the room at the hotel I specifically asked for a quiet room. When we checked in I was told that we had been given a quiet room. However, the sound of the fire engine siren woke me uo during the night many times!! Also the rooms don't have thick walls, you can hear people in the rooms either side of you and also you can hear people when they are walking in the corridor outside. If you are a light sleeper, then I would say this hotel isn't for you!!

I stayed here whilst attending a conference at a nearby hotel. I booked over the internet and the value for money was superb for Dublin City Centre (daily cost only 1/3 of the nearby hotels). The hotel exceeded my expectations. The reception staff were efficient and friendly.

Wonderul experience here and I'd go back in a second. Location is an easy walk to Trinity Bar area, O'Connell street, St. Stephen's green, etc. Rooms are updated with contemporary decorations, very clean, and have good plumbing. If your room faces the street, there is some road noise, but not much people noise like hotels in the Trinity Bar area. The breakfast was very well done and staff was friendly and helpful. I came home late and was impressed with their security as well.
Other friends were staying at hotels that were cramped, had no hot water, and were very noisy so this was the best choice in a place to stay that I saw during my trip.

Great value and location

Stayed at the Trinity Capital for 3 nights. The staff was very helpful. The hotel itself is in a great location 5 minute walk from Trinity college and Temple Bar. Caught hop on off tour right around the corner. The hotel has a bar in it so you can relax prior to heading out for the evening. Several restaraunts and pubs in the area. Had not problems from the fire and police station next door. Hardly knew they were there. I would definitly stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is lovely - a really nice bar/lounge, lovely rooms, wonderful choice for breakfast. But it was ruined by the construction site right outside my window. The drilling and banging was so loud, my head was ringing with it all. It did stop at 5pm, but started again at 6.30 the next morning. There is also a fire station and police station not far away, so there are sirens every now and then. But this is not too bad and shouldn't put you off. I would have rated the hotel as execellent but the noise puts it down to an average. I would stay here again if I was assured the construction work had finished, so it may be best to check before you book.

My family stayed at Trinity Capital for three nights in August and found it to be just average. The staff seemed friendly enough but they were not overly helpful. We had two rooms which were not ready when we arrived and were not ready until late in the afternoon. No one offered to help us with our bags and several staff just watched as we unpacked the car. We were told not to let the person that parks the cars park ours as he is not a good driver and would probably damage the car.
The housekeeping staff did not go out of their way to clean the room, there is great room for improvement in this area. We asked for washcloths each day which they always forgot and only provided once. The hallways were always cluttered with dirty dishes from room service which were not picked up for several hours. The carpets in the common areas were quite dirty.

Traveled to Dublin, Ireland and stayed at Trinity Capital for five nights. The hotel was clean and safe and the staff were exceptional (especially since they knew I was a young female traveling alone) The location was great - you can be at the shops on Grafton Street or Temple Bar area in a less than five minute walk.
Make sure you go to the Meter Station on Tara Street and see the owner, John, he'll make you a great cup of coffee, which is hard to find in Ireland.

Location was wonderful, and the room was fine, if not a bit small. It was so convenient, we were actually able to stop back during the day and drop off purchases, etc. The breakfast was great, too!

A solid three-star hotel on the whole - no gym and expensive wireless, so not great for business travelers but good base for exploring the city as a tourist.
Top Local Tips for Dublin
Aircoach If you are staying in this hotel or in the Trinity College area - the Aircoach is 12euros return from the airport to Trinity college and it is more luxurious than the bus link. Excellent service would highly recommend.
Getting Around We got a taxi from the airport to our hotel on arrival, it cost 30euros, there are also buses right outside the airport that cost about 5 to 7 euros, they drop you off right in the city centre so I suppose its just the fact of finding your hotel then! Also its worth getting on the City Tour Buses. You pay 14 Euros, they provide you with a usefull map and information guide and a ticket which allows you to get on and off the bus at any of the marked stops all day long. Each stop is at a point of interest and the bus driver comentates giving you information about the city as your drive through. The buses come every 15 minutes, very convenient and a good way to see everything and get your bearings! There are also a lot of bus stops for the air link bus, we got one of these on the way back to the airport, they also come every 15 minutes and are only 7 euros.
Go to Dublin Zoo - fantastic!!! This Zoo is a must - there are buses there but we walked. Its about 40 mins just follow the water!
