Tara towers is a 3* hotel but when we arraved and entered our room is looked more like a 4* plus, its staff we're brilliant and very friendly but v hard to understand 'but that all adds to the irish atmosphere. The bar is a great place to have the last drink of the night and a snack!!! The dining area is v good aswell but there is not a wide choice of food. but other than that i would recomend families, groups, etc of all ages to go to tara towers for its location, it has a sea view there is a bus and train link 2mins away and it is 10 mins from port and 15mins from dublin centre.

The hotel was fine, however, I had to pay for it twice! I booked the hotel over the internet and then was asked to leave my credit card details at the reception on arrival. I explained that we had already been debitted for the full amount but the receptionist insisted that this was normal practice and that I hadnt actually paid but had reserved the room only. Sure enough on my next credit card statement I had been debitted twice. Not a problem I thought, this should be easy enough to sort out - BUT NO, the tara towers hotel staff were useless and no one was prepared to help me with sorting out their mistake. In the end it was costing me too much time and money to phone and email so I left it, and so did they!!! Beware of the same if you book over the internet.
