What a horrible something! The tourist information gave us this so called hotel. We booked for 3 nights and checked out after the first. Door to bathroom was not closing, towels are dirty, toilet flush was not working - staff didn't worry about. We paid 105 Euro per night, it was not worth a penny. Never again back to this hotel!!!
Perfect location!

Being as we are referred to a "Spoiled American" I listened to my new husband explain some differences between American hotels and European hotels. Our first room was a back room away from the street-it was perfect for our needs, we did stay one extra need that was not planned so then we experienced a front room-you have to expect noisy traffic all through the night. It wasn't as bad as I anticipated. The staff was friendly and helped as much as they could. Please take in mind if you are coming from a different country there could be language barriers-even in English-LOL! Fresh hot breakfast was great once we altered it to scrambled eggs and bacon-fabulous! The location was perfect-close to everything. The people in general in Ireland are wonderful. I miss it already-I did not want to leave. I can't rave enough!!!!!!
Avoid it like the plague!

Unconcerned and unhelpful staff; A large room, but worn bed linen and carpets and a very old bathroom with a broken shower; food was of a basic quality (akin to cheap value packs in supermarkets). Stay anywhere but here.
Very Clean standards

Having reviewed some bad reports of the Maple it was with some concerns that we went ahead with our booking. However when we arrived and saw our rooms all concerns were dispelled. The owners and staff were delightful, the food was first class and the proximity to the vibrant life of Dublin was perfect. I would rate it better than 2*
What a disappointment

Bedroom in desperate need of redecoration, tiny bathroom.Very noisy, sirens throughout the night.Unwanted food thrown from a room above landing outside our window - what sort of people were staying there? Left after 1 sleepless night.
Be happy

It was our first voyage to Ireland and we enjoy our stay in Maple Hotel. It was a small but pretty room and the stuff was very friendly. The short way to Dublin centre is very well for sightseeing.
We say "good bye" but not for the last time in Maple Hotel

the hotel was very reasonably priced, especially as it was only a two minute walk from O'Connell Street. The private parking was an excellent feature. Staff were very pleasant, food was top notch. I have read some of the other negative reviews and I don't know what people expect for their money, if they want to be treated like royalty and live like a queen, then book into the plaza and pay the price!!!!!!
would go back anytime!!!!!!

The good thing about Maple Hotel is Secure Parking and the 5-10 min walk to city centre.
The room smelled as if someone smoked weed in it the nights before. It was very loud (ask for a quit room). Service was poor. Breakfast one of the worst we had.

Stayed in the Maple Hotel last week. Very poor service, the staff were so ignorant. I would not recommend to anybody. Over priced, under staffed, food was very poor, a basic hell hole. Had to move hotels. Went to the Sunnybank hotel. It was fantastic! I would recommend to anybody to stay there.

Top Local Tips for Dublin
What to see and do Visit Kilmainham Jail, Guiness Factory, St Stephen's Green Park, Post Office on O'Connell St, 1916 rebelion exhibition at Collins Barracks, Marks & Spencer's rooftop restuarant in Grafton Street (eat outside), Arlington Hotel Irish Show (do not pay for show sit in bar and see it for the cost of a drink). Get 16 or 41 bus to and from Airport for €1.90 single as opposed to Airlink Express bus at €6 or €8 single.
How much?? After stating the destination to your driver, ask how much they journey will cost. Although I can't confirm it, it seems that tourists can be 'bumped' with prices.
