Me & a couple of mates had a long Dublin weekend in May last year. We booked Kellys on the Net....
Our 3 bedded room was tiny & the shower/toilet were in what seemed to be a broom cupboard.The view from the window was of the hotels central heating pipes & we really appreciated the rock music from the pub next door at 1 am.Breakfast was OK. but generally the service & staff were indifferent.On the positive side,Kellys is very central & within 10 minutes walk of Temple Bar,
Grafton St.Trinity College etc...& the bus stop back to the airport is just across the road!
Would I stay at Kellys again?...probably not!

Well I suppose we were expecting too much at the price we paid tho I don't think that was fairly reflected in the photo's
What kellys idea of recent is..Is anyone's guess, I would estimate at least 20 years although it was "recently refurbished" although may be they describe the recent patch of vomit as recently refurbished who knows! Anyway two flights of very dodgy stairs was already off putting as was the location "manchesters mosside springs to mind" albeit 10 minutes from temple bar, the pub next door was more than lively at 2pm in the morning! Never mind our expectations were obviously too high...tho I don't expect vomit on the carpets wherever I go! Not too fussy dontcha think!
