This hotel was centrally located. We received a fine Irish welcome, staff were very accomodating, rooms clean, nice reception area.
Central and convenient to city centre

The hotel was within walking distance of train station and city centre. Helpful staff - cheaper breakfast around the corner from the hotel. Car parking was also convenient.

Excellent location, nice rooms

We booked three rooms here for family of 6 plus an uncle, and loved it. Great location - we walked to everything! A little noise outside on Saturday night, but that happens everywhere.
Room was very comfortable for three of us, and the hotel has everything you need. JUst don't try to park a large van in the garage!
We ate elsewhere - there is a good breakfast place right across the street (Pilgrim's), Leo Burdocks is around the corner, there is one pub (The Castle Inn) next door which we enjoyed, and many with good music in walking distacne (Brazen Head was our other favorite).

Very good hotel. Quite close to all the sites. Tour bus stops right outside the front door. Has a nice restaurant and bar in the lobby. I recommend it.
EXCELLENT view and location!

Christ Church was RIGHT outside of our window and offered the BEST view. This hotel is conveniently located near almost every Dublin tourist attraction. We walked to Dublin Castle,Trinity College, Christ Church, Temple Bar and the Wax Museum. Park on the fourth floor and walk right into the lobby. You don't have to lug your suitcases outside in the inevitble rain. Driving in Dublin can be a bit overwhelming (especially for Americans.) But, having such a HUGE landmark, like Christ Church, nearby...made finding this hotel a little easier than some.

The Jurys is a good location (central Dublin) and the staff very helpful and friendly. The lobby is spacious and the restaurant and bar clean and inviting. We spent three nights in June with our 3 sons (16, 13, 10) and had two adjacent rooms. The rooms were OK but some of the fixtures in the bathroom were broken and the water temperature was erratic but I think for the price it was adequate and pretty much what we expected for a budget chain hotel. I thought the church bells were cool but then again Dublin is very noisy in general and most mornings we were awakened by someone's car alarm going off.
About Dublin - the city itself was a disappointment. We expected a colorful, fun, friendly and lively city and it was none of that. It's dirty and full of crime. We got pan handled three times by young drug addicts and another Dubliner was kind enough to tell us to hide our cameras while walking around the streets. Thankfully the hotel had two security guards posted at the door every night. At first we thought that was odd but then realized it was a necessity. Also, we took a tour and all they talked about was Bono. "Bono lived here...Bono drank here...Bono slept here...Bono ate here...". Not one word about James Joyce. I can't understand why Bono is so revered by Dubliners. It's actually quite pathetic. Anyway it's worth a day or two to see Trinity College and the Guiness Storehouse but we wish we had spent more time in Killarney.

The title of this review says it all. The location across from Christchurch is convenient to everything. Dublin is expensive, but this hotel is reasonable and the parking discount helped out on the value.
The public areas were clean and inviting, but the room standard was definitely at the lower end of a budget hotel. The size of the family room and decor was ok. However, the blankets and bedspreads were stained. I'm not sure if they were clean and just stained, or really dirty. I must admit that we didn't ask the management to take care of this complaint, perhaps they would have, but their quality control is neverless lacking.

The hotel was clean and fresh and well situated - near temple bar etc. The bar and restaurant in the hotel were rather trendy which was a bonus when you consider how cheap the rooms cost.
We had some trouble when checking in on the night, but that may be just because there were 16 of us trying to check in!
I could grumble about the church bells chiming but I had been pre-warned!
The hotel bar opened @ 10.00am but unfortunately closed at 1.30am. I would have thought that being residents at the hotel, the bar would stay open as long as we were buying the drinks, but this was not the case.
I would definately return there and would recommend it to anyone who asked. The staff were friendly and even let us keep our bags in a spare room in the hotel after we checked out at 12.00.

Great Family Vacation Spot

Group of 7 stayed here and we all loved it. Terrific for families with the extra bed in the room. Great locastion; we walkked everywhere. Good value. Our only issue was parking a rental van in the car park (this was not Jury's problem - it is next to a public car park). Go across the street to Pilgrims for breakfast.

Great Hotel, Great Price

I stayed here with my boyfriend for 2 nights in January 2004 and was so impressed with the Hotel. It was clean, the staff were friendly and it was a great location! As per the previous review, i asked for a fifth floor room facing west and they were more than happy to reserve one, which turned out to be a lovely large room with lots of windows, a double bed and a sofa as well as the usual. There was also a great view of the Cathedral. The hotel was so good for the price and it is close to absolutly everything you want. Can't recommend it enough!

Fabulous location--call and ask for the 92 Euro price (sans breakfast). CLOSE to everything and we saved b/c we never took a taxi. BUT sunday mornings be warned the bells at the church are sooo loud.
Top Local Tips for Dublin
Dublin Castle Dublin Castle is not as good as you may believe - qutie small.
Bus tour I would def go on a bus tour its good value for money and you get to see all the sites very quickly. The Guiness Brewery is also worth visiting.
Lunch at Jameson Distillery For a great (but pricy!) lunch, try the upstairs restaurant (just above the ticket counter) at the Jameson Distillery. I swear i had one of the best meals in Ireland there. It's a really nice setting, and the food was terrific. Order the fish cakes.

The Jury's Inn itself was great, comfortable and affordable. We missed breakfast some days because in Jury's they only serve until 10 but it was alright because there was a exceptional little cafe around the corner, Applewoods which was great value for money, tasty muffins, very good soups and everything was freshly baked everyday. The staff were warm and friendly, even open on Saturdays! Other than that, we loved Dublin and hope to come back soon!
