Within 2mins of booking-in, my husband became stuck in the lift. No apology was given, just the comment 'He had luggage'. When we eventually reached our third floor room it was tiny and looked out onto an alley. This alley became a playground for drunken disco users and smokers expelled from inside. Screaming shouting and swearing continued until 4am. Request for extra pillow went unheeded and although bed was made each day room was not cleaned during 4 day stay.
This was advertised as a non-smoking building and despite signs to that effect, the entire third floor stank of cigarette smoke.
On the final evening we were both trapped in the lift for 20 mins. The Barman had to race around building doing something to the electrics. His response to my complaint was 'Sorry, I'll tell the management'. This event meant I had to climb three floors back up to my room, which, as an arthritis sufferer, was no mean feat.
The only redeeming feature of this hotel was the breakfast. Food was......
