Where do I start? We arrived at the hotel at check-in time and were told one of our two rooms weren't ready yet. We were still allowed keys to both rooms. The first room was a tiny room at the back of the hotel with poor natural light and no working main light for the room. We asked for the bulb to be changed but this never happened. The other room was just as bad, TV hanging off of the wall; tiles in the bathroom had been tiles around the toilet handle which gives you an idea of how cramped it was. My mum also got stuck in the toilet as the door was too big for the frame. There were silly little things that could have easily be changed, such as cupboard handles that didn't match, a suitcase holder that was missing the main pole through the middle for it to support the weight. The rooms were clean just dowdy. One member of staff was very helpful as others didn’t really seem to be too interested in our presence. Breakfast was fine and restaurant staff were very efficient. We originally planned to stay for a few days longer than we did but after seeing it we chose to book out after the first night. Overall Dublin is a lovely place to stay; having a nicer hotel a little further from the city centre is much more worth it though!
