Having recently stayed I must recommend this hotel. Location is very convenient to airport and city centre. A very good standard star Hotel, meals are excellent quality, friendly and welcoming staff.

Great Place to stay

Stayed here Saturday 24th Sept. Excellent Lunch & staff Checked with chef for gluten free options without even asking. Nice room & en-suite. Great leisure centre. €10 for a taxi to city centre. Booked on Octopus Travel very reasonable rates.

Very pleasant stay

We stayed here for 2 nights on business at the beginning of August and thought the place was perfectly nice. My room was a good size with a lovely clean bathroom with separate shower. Tea and coffee facilities were laid on, and an iron/ironing board/trouser press. The hair dryer was one of those plastic tube efforts in the bathroom, of which I'm not the biggest fan and there was no sign of a mini bar. The spa is great, fantastic pool and jacuzzi - most welcome after a day in the office and a late night on the town! The breakfast was not the greatest I've ever had in Ireland, but plenty of choice - hot and cold - and the staff were very efficient and friendly. The Reception desk appeared a bit unorganised, but the staff were helpful, and organised taxis etc. It's a five minute walk into the village, with lots of trendy bars and restaurants. We had a great thai meal.

A few of my frends have stayed here and praised it, however, apart from a few very genial staff, I really wondered what the fuss was about. Welcome a bit frosty (too much trouble - u know the deal!) and when my cousin came in for a look around for her wedding there was NO one to show her around....bit strange!!. Nice location, great looking hotel and grounds but not sure I would venture back- just get the impression they are doing you the favour rather than feeling you are the customer!! Shame cause we were really interested
Will revisit soon......just to check, part of me has high hopes..!!!!!

We have just spent 4 days at this hotel and i can`t praise it highly enough.The staff were friendly,helpful and extremely patient when dealing with some customers who thought that by clicking fingers and generally being quite obnoxious towards the staff it just showed them up as being quite ignorant i thought..but the staff dealt with it all with a cheery smile and did their best to accomodate them with their grievences although i think some people are just born difficult and rude.Our room was extremely spacious and clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay.the grounds are absolutely beautiful with well kept gardens and an aviary to keep little ones occupied while you sit at one of the many garden seats provided.The reception staff were extremely helpful in suggestions on where to visit and places to see.The food was cooked to perfection at very reasonable prices and there was a wide choice of food on the menu at the bar, all in all we had the most enjoyable stay at the Rochestown Park,long may you continue and a million thanks for making our stay the best ever.and our best wishes to you all especially the reception and restaurant girls who work so very very hard bless you all.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days and had a wonderful time. We stayed in a deluxe room and it was enormous with two double beds, a dining area,living room area,and a fantastic bathroom with seperate shower.
I tried a reflexology treatment and would have tried others but there was no availability. Its about 15 minutes drive out of Cork City but you can walk into Douglas easily where there are a good choice of bars and restaurants if you fancy a change from the hotel.
I had been worried about the booking after reading some of the reviews but i am glad we booked here,especially after seeing some of the hotels in the city centre.

We have stayed at this hotel on three separate occasions and have always found it quite superb. Accommodation, food and service all really excellent.
No complaints whatever.

Stayed a night here recently. Reasonably central to Cork City, but a bit of a walk, take a Taxi. Good 4 star standard, staff very freindly and helpful, rooms medium sized and comfortable, excellent leisure facilities and restaurant exceptional for quality and quantity.

On the down side, the Tv stations are not plentiful or great, the bathroom in my room was a little dated but overall id have no problem reccomending this spot if you get a good price, you will do a lot worse im sure.

My stay in at the Rochestown Park Hotel could only be described as perfect. The customer service I experienced was second to none. The service, the food and the fantastic facilities were second to none. I have planned another trip to this hotel for late 2005.
I would recommend it to all!

It's not often you come across a hotel that caters for your every need! I knew we were in for a great experience when we arrived, greeted as we were by extremely pleasant and friendly staff. Our room was great, really spacious, and spotless, with a big bathroom complete with power shower. Breakfast was a treat, eggs cooked as you’re served! As for the kids, we couldn't get them out of the leisure centre, with its beautiful big swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam rooms. The place simply has it all, can't wait to get back there!

Vegetarian Delight Head to Cafe Paradiso on Lancaster Quay for a fantastic vegetarian meal, you might be out of pocket a little but you won't be disappointed.

Great City for enjoying yourself All the pubs make you very welcome and there are plenty of named shops to go shopping in.The transport and Cabs are good.People are very friendly.We went over for the St Patricks weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I am 63 and my mate she is 55 so no spring chickens.But this is the place for all ages.

Dining in Cork There are a fab range of restaurants in Cork city centre, to suit all tastes. My recommended ones: Cafe Mexicana (mexican food), Banna Thai (thai obviously!), Pearl River/ or China Gold (chinese), Scoozis (for pasta/burgers/desserts!), Imperial Hotel/Scotts (carvery lunch). The best coffee in Cork is at Coffee Pod opposite the Clarion Hotel - it's a small boardwalk cafe open during office hours and has fab coffee/muffins/ location.
