The rooms were tiny, tiny. The bathroom door was half the size of a standard door. The view looked onto a grubby wall. Housekeeping were rude. The nightlife was mad downstairs with people clambering upstairs and falling over. Would not advise to stay in this hotel.

Top Local Tips for Bray

Tower Bistro We have eaten at this restaurant on several occassions, and while the food is of decent quality and the building is very nice, the restaurant staff consistently leave us upset/angry. If customer service is important to you, stick to one of the other many nearby sea front restaurants such as the Baracuda or Campo Di Floira.

A great base for County Wicklow It is only half an hour on the Dart Railway from Dublin - and County Wicklow is really beautiful if you like sightseeing and walking. We stayed in Wicklow which was practically shut (in July) so a pleasant surprise to find so much life in Bray. I was really taken with the town. So if you would like a great base, then Bray is the place, with a pretty beach and small seafront and clifftop walks. We enjoyed the live music while we were eating, and stayed on, sipping wine, watching the sun set and all the life around us - great for peple watching! I should imagine it's great in the winter too, if you were wrapped up warm - the sea was like a millpond when we were there, but I expect could get pretty exciting in winter.
