Jeff must be on commission for the Heron's Cove as we found the Creevy Pier Hotel the most welcoming on our stay in Ireland. It has that Craic factor that the Irish are renowned for. The food was very reasonably priced and there was a great choice. The craic we had in the bar with the locals telling the local stories was great. The rooms are clean with Tea & coffee making facilities but a bit on the small side but the rest of the hotel compensated for this. We decided to check out Heron's Cove as per "Jeffs" recoomendation but it is closed down. I think this says a lot about it.

a beautiful location, however the hotel was more like a hostel than a hotel.
Very run down, tired and in need of a refurb & I think I have been generous in my comments. However I felt sorry for the staff who were polite & pleasant when they must know they are fighting a losing battle here.

This hotel is a real gem. I have a young family and our every need was catered for. The previous review must be off their heads as the views are unmatched, the food and service is excellent and value for money in todays ever price increasing economy. Yes the bedrooms are on the small side but are clean and decorated beautifully. The craic with the locals in the bar was mighty and they made you feel at home. I was led to believe that the hotel is being run by a man with a young family and this translates into the most welcoming place that I have been with my kids for years. If in the area give it a go you won't be disappointed...

Wonderful location, cost the highest out of 5 stayed in. Menu offered not good. Rooms awful. Three couples travelling tofether refused to stay and found Herons Cove, a mile or so away - a world of difference better.

Eating in the Hotel Definately eat in The Creevy Pier Hotel otherwise you do not get the whole Creevy experience. Book your table on arrival to ensure you get the table you wish and to get the best service. Take time to enjoy the views whilst you wine and dine and don't be afraid to talk to the locals as that is were the craic begins!!!

things to do ballyshannon is a great wee town nice shops and close to Bundoran for a livilier time.There is a campsite there too.Take a drive to Belleek China
