I checked in for 4 nights but ended up staying for 4 weeks! I ate and drank in the bar almost every evening and I honestly cannot fault it! Amazing food and very reasonably priced, in a cosy and very well decorated area. The rates for rooms were also very reasonable. This is a real home away from home. Everyone is very friendly yet highly professional. Thumbs up from me anyway!

Books Charlie Byrnes bookshop is excellent - it is located just off quay street in the corn store. It has hunreds of new and second hand books on every subject possible.
Athenry - New Indian Restaurant Surprise Gem - Try it!
trip to Connemarra area -- Especially liked the town of Roundstone; could have spent more time there with the little pubs and shops. Don't miss the "home of the boudrin, the Irish drum" at Roundstone Musical Instrumets. The harbor is lovely even on a rainy day. Kylemore Abbey was also located on a charming setting. The entire coastline from Galway to the West is charming.
