Hotel Adam offers simple accommodation right in the heart of Reykjavik. If your focus is on exploring outside rather than internal luxury, this is the best positioned and best value you'll find - by the expensive standards of Iceland. Don't be put off by the slightly brusque manner of the proprietor (it's a national characteristic): He is extremely helpful and obliging. As a stepping off point to the amazing wonders of Iceland, it was ideal.
