We had a refurbished room which was done to a very high standard with everything working well. Every staff member had been trained to a high standard as well. It was a shame more people did not use the excellent Jardinier restaurant.The bar & seating areas were comfortable and attractive. The only complaint I had is that the Pool was out of action but overall the Novotel was worth every one of its four stars.

Expensive! Budapest is expensive. A coffee is not less than 290 Forint (= 1.50 USD), and even a tram ticket costs 230 Forint.

Great Restaurants Just to recommend two restaurants. Near the Congress is Cafe Erte which while a bit expensive it was certainly superb and well worth the cost. Another is Trattoria Toscana on the banks of the Danube. A fantastic Italian Restaurant!
