Historical Traveller Reviews of Marriott Executive Apartments Millennium Court Hotel
an amazing little gem
from dallywallSSSSShhhhhh
from JaneI have read a recent article complaining about the breakfast, all I can say is that it will not be the full American as found in the main hotel but you would have to be very fussy to walk out of the room feeling hungry. we also found that the staff were happy to let us take extra rolls, pastries and fresh coffee to our rooms.
All in all this is a fantastic place to stay and at what are actually silly prices....please be assured we have stayed at some of the best hotels in the world and as a family this place was ideal.
On a seperate note I must recommend Spoons on the Danube, great food great location
Excellent location and value for money
from Creamegg2We booked a 2 bedroom apartment months in advance. Just before the trip I checked the booking online and found that the price had somehow doubled. I sent an irate email, to which the staff responded very quickly, admitting that there had been an administrative error, with 2 apartments being booked rather than just one. The information available online is a bit vague in terms of 2 ‘rooms’ and 2 apartments so this was not clear, but once this problem was sorted out the accommodation proved to offer excellent value for money.
On arrival the taxi dropped us right outside the door. Unfortunately the driver pointed to the wrong door, leaving us wandering around a closed shopping centre for ages, until we realised that we should have gone through a similar looking door a few feet to the right. We felt rather foolish after that!
When we eventually got to our room we discovered that our lounge/kitchen had two king size bedrooms off it. The web site had said that all two bedroom apartments comprise of a king size room and a room with two doubles. Our two male friends were not happy about sharing a bed. Luckily the friendly and helpful concierge was able to find us a king size and twin room within a few minutes, narrowly averting disaster but I would recommend sending an email to them after placing a booking if you have specific requirements.
At least it gave us a look around two different apartments. Both were immaculately clean and well appointed, but don’t expect a view.
The room we stayed in was very quiet. There was no traffic noise at all or the usual voices, slamming doors and foot steps from the corridor which usually lead to a disturbed nights sleep in hotels. In fact if it had not been for seeing other people at breakfast we could have been the only guests in the hotel.
We can recommend a couple of local restaurants – Karpatia at Ferenciek tere 7-8 (5 min walk) and Vista Café at Paulay Ede u. 7 (10 min walk), both of which were excellent and reasonable priced. However the American restaurant close to the hotel on Vaci u. is worth avoiding. It looks good from outside but we left without ordering when we saw the state of the tablecloths.
If you are looking for good value, good quality and quiet accommodation in the heart of the tourist area it would be difficult to imagine anywhere better than the Marriott Executive Apartments.
Excellent rooms, poor breakfast

from Shoolbraidslocation!
from korstickThe location is perfect & we even had a view seeing the river and Gellert Hill & Elizabeth Bridge. It had a kitchenette that had everything you could possibly want- including a colander! The in room safe is very nice- no extra charge. It was so nice one morning when we awoke and found a chocolate St Nickolous at our room door in the hall. Every guest got one. This is when they celebrate this feast and they give these out like chocolate Easter Bunnies in the states.
The breakfast was very nice and they had CNN on to watch every day there. Everyone spoke English. One thing I loved was there was a washer & dryer on each floor. We were on the last leg of our 15 night trip to Prague=Vienna=Budapest and I needed fresh clothes! They don't charge anything, just provide your own laundry soap which I got at the market around the corner.
One real nice thing is that the real Marriott hotel is only 2 blocks away and you can use their facilities. We had "dinner" one night in their lobby and charged it back to the Exec Court room. Our dinner consisted of drinks & the "All U Can Eat Dessert Bar" which was about $7. Yumm, vodka & chocolate. Do NOT eat at the Sala Thai restaurant attached to the Marriott- awful & depressing inside.
If you are a single man or 2 men walking together- BEWARE- there are street girls trying to get you to take them to a bar & buy them drinks. They are relentless on the Vaci Utca!! They don't bother male/female couples- but men lookout! We just ignored them as we would sometimes have them come up to us 6-7 times as we walked a 3 block stretch. Also the taxi drivers try to get your business by offering to get you "sexual favors". It was all so bothersome- I couldn't enjoy my trip as I was bombarded by these people when I'd walk one block from the hotel & it is in the best location of Budapest! Couples shouldn't have a problem- but realize- if someone walks up to you and starts a conversation about something odd (and this would not happen to you in your hometown) - just walk away!!
loved it
from avithe location- couldn't be better.
just few meters from the Danuba, and from Vaci utca, where all the locals and the fireworks were.
the suit itself- gorgeous, althought they could provide some coffee and tea' and not only the brand new equipment for it.
every other thing- 10!the size of the rooms, the view, the clean bathroom,...
we did an early check in- at 9 in the morning.
during check out- we left the luggage till late evening.
Highly recommended
from Jetstream1958(even though I don't think it is really necessary). Lets hope the rates will not double after the renovation! Would I stay there again? Absolutely!
central and excellent

Credit/debit cards (Maestro, Mastercard, Visa) Members of our party could not get these to work in various machines over several days. Try various banks and do not rely on one source of money - take cash or travellers cheques as back up in case your cards do not work.
Jam Pub There is a bar/clubin the Mammoth shopping mall called Jam Pub which was great
Taxis Use Zona taxis to get from Ferigehy airport. They have a little kiosk just outside the arrivals door, you just need to state your destination to the English-speaking person there and they will give a ticket to your driver, so you don't have to try to explain it in Hungarian! It is a (reasonable) set fee to various parts of Budapest.
