Top Local Tips for Budapest

Taxis to use The only 2 cab companies we found honest, reliable and inexpensive in the city were Zona Taxi (at the airport) and City Taxi when in the centre of Budapest. Only ever call a cab company, never ever pick one up off the side of the street, even if it looks the real deal.

Cheap Eats While In Budapest I love Hungarian fare, but sometimes I'm just looking for something light, easy and....let's face it...American. There are plenty of McDonald's, Burger Kings, and even a couple of Kentucky Fried Chickens in the city, but I usually get my "American fix" at one of the many Budapest Subways where the standards and offerings are the same as in the U.S. with only slight modifications.
